American Military Stories

This selection of books tries to identify those books that relate the specifics and experiences of American citizen soldiers in a way that highlights the service, nobility and self-sacrifice related to war without glorifying war itself.

Manners

How to introduce children to manners? Of course you start with expectations of them (mind your manners), demonstrating those manners so that they have something to copy, and then coaching them through the consistent application of manners.

And there are some wonderful books out there that you can use to introduce manners to children at a young age (before the weeds start growing) when it is far easier for them to absorb. It is often only later they realize just how important manners can be but by then it is harder for it to become second nature.
